What is BRUNKALLA MUSIC?
Hello World!
Let me introduce BRUNKALLA MUSIC! When I started my full-time career as a luthier, I called
my business Brunkalla Violins. Seemed logical enough, as I made violins exclusively. Some
years down the road, certain customers (you know who you are) convinced me to venture into
other stringed instruments, most of which I was quite familiar with, but had never built.
This expanded venture has become known as Brunkalla Fine Stringed Instruments (yeah, that’s
a mouthful).
BRUNKALLA MUSIC offers the work of my hands in the form of fine violins, violas, mandolins,
guitars and ukuleles, as well as a select group of music-related products. These offerings
will include some instruments that I DON’T make, including some fine double basses,
student-level violin-family instruments, accessories, and even some lutherie supplies.
All of the above will be available through my same old trusty URL, www.brunkalla.com . The
new website is almost ready to publish, and will include a “store” which will make it
possible to purchase items on-line with several payment options, including your credit card
of choice. Custom instruments will not be directly available on-line, though there will be
the occasional “pre-loved”, spec, or “standard-model” instrument that you can plop in your
“shopping cart” and be playing within a few days. Yeehaa! I’m hoping to squeeze in a few
“surprises” and special deals now and then, as well as an item or two you will not find
ANYWHERE else, so stay tuned.
It has been very gratifying to have expanded my “repertoire”, and I would like to publicly
thank The members of the band “Tripping Lily” for being the primary instigators of this
boadening of my career horizon. You can learn more about this wonderful group of musicians,
